ENVIRO-GRO
ENVIRO-GRO was developed to provide simulations of the growth of agricultural crops. The program simulates subsurface variably-saturated water flow, solute transport, root water uptake, nitrogen uptake, and relative yield for agricultural applications.
ENVIRO-GRO was first developed as a one dimensional, transient-state model of subsurface water flow and chemical transport specifically designed for agricultural applications. Over time, the program was modified to include nitrate transport and nitrogen uptake by plants production of nitrate through mineralization of organic nitrogen, and compensation for root water and nitrogen uptake.
A zip file containing the program is available for download ( EnvGro2013 ~3.6MB). In addition to the program, the zip file contains a user manual and examples that can be worked through, as well as the Fortran source code.
